ok. how do i put this. uhm. i'm sick of the state of a lot of personal sites. im sick of seeing the same templates everywhere. im sick of pages that are purely stolen uncredited graphics for aesthetic purposes with no actual meaningful content. i'm sick of it.

i get it, a lot of people are just learning to code when they're using templates n such, but be honest, does it need to be online or could you just host it on your personal devicee and learn in a development environment before you proceed to actually make somethign of your own and share it with the world

or if you're going to use a template, at least add somethign uniquely you to it. and no, i don't mean just a list of surface level identities and traits, i want substance. i don't care if it's art or writing or code or whatever, but i want to see something that's actually just purely yours.

but also it's totally okay to not use a template and to even not have a fancy layout at all, i mean sure i have my nice kitty layout on my main pages, but look at this page. it's a very simple layout at the moment and not particularly aesthetic, but what i lack in style i make up for in the substance of this text.

idk. i guess you could say i'm sick of how gentrified the web is becoming, where professional sites all use similar styling (usually it's bootstrap) and personal sites are just the same ten templates over and over again with little to no substance to them. i want to see more genuine labours of love, some genuine signs that a person is behind the making of a site, even if that makes it a bit rough around the edges, i'd rather see websites filled with mistakes that are made with passion rather than a site that's perfect but has no soul.

i constantly feel like i have to have perfectly laid out and pretty pages for all my site. and that's massively been detrimental to the amount of stuff i feel comfortable putting on this site, because it feels like i need to put so much more work than necessary just to share some of my thoughts or some work i've done or whatever. and actually. i don't. things don't have to be perfect to be shared.
